Engraving depicting the festivities organized in Paris on April 5, 6, 7 of 1612 on Place Royale (now Place des Vosges), to celebrate the announcement of the marriages between Louis XIII and Anne of Austria, Madame Élisabeth and Philippe.
This is amazing. But now I wonder what the captions say. Have you found something? Anyway on letters BB - DD - EE I see ancient Romans with their captives during a triumph parade. They also carry the Roman insignia. Near HH those seem to be Winged Hussars from Poland. T and C are obviously giants (Turkish? Tartars?)
