SPQR this & SPQx that. Empires were everywhere.

Could be, but we also have "ancient" Romans and Trojans wearing heavy clothing... who knows!

SPQR this & SPQx that. Empires were everywhere.

What I meant is that the clothing style you showed in the image is not really suitable for Europe. It could be maybe used in some regions on the Mediterranean Sea, but not in continental Europe. The colouring pattern on those togas could be a big hint to the real identity of the Latins, imo.

SPQR this & SPQx that. Empires were everywhere.

I don't know where you are going but maybe we share the same thought... My own thought is that Latins were not Romans and they were the same people who call themselves Latins in our time: Latin-Americans. An Italian researcher, Riccardo Magnani, claims that America is represented in Renaissance...

    Russian Rulers of old

This is interesting. Michael I is labeled "Groes Schiematique", which is a reference to the Great Schism of 1054 (East–West Schism - Wikipedia). Who was the Oriental protagonist of this event? Michael I Cerularius (Michael I Cerularius - Wikipedia). Fomenko has shown that during the 17th...

The Temple of the Sun in Nineveh

This "steam" seems to go out from something equivalent to the Roman rostra (Naval ram - Wikipedia; Rostro (arma) - Wikipedia), which were said to be "symbolic decorations". I've never really understood this fashion of putting naval rams on columns!!! Also, speaking about enemy trophies (I...

Welcome to Tenochtitlan as it was in 1520

Fomenko showed something weird here: The Testament of Peter the Great. In particular this image shows Mexico City as part of the Swedish Kingdom...

Comment by 'Silveryou' in media 'Portrait of Terentius Neo'

When I look at this fresco and another one similar, I cannot think that this woman has a sort of lipstick and a mirror in her hands. I don't know anything about the history of cosmetics but the story of writing on wax tablets his just absurd to me

Welcome to Tenochtitlan as it was in 1520

Anyway I think the measures should be used only for the left part of the map, because the right part seems to be only a depiction of the city

Welcome to Tenochtitlan as it was in 1520

Here we can try to read the measures used in the map: link. Quilibet punctus magnus continet leucas duodecim cu dimidia, ita ? duo magni puncti continent viginti quinq leucas, Cotinet aute leuca quatuor Italica miliaria, ita ? omnes puncti qui hic (cospiciuntur ?) continent centum leucas. My...

Welcome to Tenochtitlan as it was in 1520

Great thread, posts and topic. I would like to give my interpretation (of which I am not sure at all) of some of the things posted. First of all the maps: Some time ago I tried to figure out some of the names reported in these maps but I don't know the geography of Central America and Google...

Vatican, where are the Keys of Saint Peter?

My idea came from the fact (I believe to have learned this from one of Davis Icke's videos) that Queen Elizabeth is not allowed to enter the City of London without the permission of its Lord Mayor. So I thought about Peter as a Mayor. But I've not searched into this topic, even though it's...

Vatican, where are the Keys of Saint Peter?

Is there a connection with the "Freedom of the City" (Freedom of the City)? Maybe the city of Rome?

Cynocephalus Saint Christopher - what was he in reality?

I've always thought that these legends came to be due to a misunderstanding. The Europeans (and Arabs, apparently) who traveled to the East came back to Europe with tales about the Han People (Han Chinese - Wikipedia), with facial features very different from those of the Europeans and maybe...

    Pompeiigate Scandal: Chronology Issues

I have only a curiosity to add. It is said that the Black Death (1346-1353) spared Milan, no one knows exactly why. But Milan was the principal victim of the Great Plague of Milan (1629-1631 - 1629–1631 Italian plague - Wikipedia), which spared Europe and most of Italy. That was the time of the...

America: Discovered in 1464? Why called America?

An Italian researcher, Riccardo Magnani, claims that the name America derives from Saint Emeric (Hungarian: Szent Imre herceg, Slovak: Svätý Imrich) also Henricus, Emery, Emerick, Emmerich, Emericus or Americus (c. 1007 – 2 September 1031), son of King St. Stephen I of Hungary (Saint Emeric of...

It would be interesting to read the inscription on that jar. The title of the painting is written on the stone bottom-right, so even this "inscription" maybe contains valuable information. I didn't find high resolution images to read it though. I think NW fits the most. I also tried SE but it's...
